Well, in absence of other reports, for your info, Gail Frantz and I =
visited the following sites without seeing the Yellow-billed Loon, and =
without hearing any claims from other birders that they had seen it, =
namely:
The boat-launch at Solomons under the 2-4 bridge about 10:00 to 10:30,
Sea Breeze Restaurant at Sandgates, SM Co from about 11:00 to 12:30,
Greenwell State Park about 2:00 to 3:00 (a very nice place!),
Jefferson-Patterson St Pk, Calvert Co. about 2:30-3:00.
The cream of crab soup at the Sea Breeze, though, made the trip worth =
it. The Kelp Gull, feeling very slighted, was there at the pier the =
whole time we were there.
