Drove back from Cleveland yesterday via I-68, stopping at Finzel Swamp. What a beautiful place! More a wet meadow than a swamp. An Alder Flycatcher was singing near the pond. Eventually he came into view. Other highlights were ruffed grouse drumming on the hillsides, and a common raven flying above a ridge. In the eastern suburbs of Cleveland on 5-27 and 5-28, I saw a few migrating warblers: Wilson's, Canada, Tennessee, Magnolia, and Blackpoll. Peter Lev Towson, Maryland
