I will donate .50 per species up to 200 species and a dollar for each over 200. If the team breaks 300, I
will donate a hundred dollars for each over 300. I want to see the check list. It could be put on the
website. Go TEAM!

As you know by now, we are indeed privileged to have this year on
our team one of the winners of the Texas Classic two years in a
row. (Congratulations, Marshall!)
Marshall Iliff has agreed to join in this year with Hal Wierenga, Lynn
Davidson, and Mark Hoffman in their bid to bring home the honors
to Maryland.
We want to thank those who have sent in donations and/or pledges
already but we need more support yet for this fine team of birders
we're sending to New Jersey in just another week and a half.
Please consider a pledge per species to help us make the 1999
team the financial success the 1998 team was. With last year's
money we were able to fund a Mist Net Replacement Program for
ongoing research programs in Maryland and we were able to send
an additional educator to the Audubon Nature Camp this summer
for training in ornithology.
If you think these sorts of activities are what the MOS should be
doing, then please help support those efforts by donating or
pledging in support of our World Series team. A ten-cent pledge
amounts to a donation of just $15-20 but each pledge matters, so
please think about helping out.
Send your pledges to me directly by e-mail at osprey@ari.net or if
you would like to make an outright donation, send a check made
out to MOS to me, Norm Saunders, at 1261 Cavendish Drive,
Colesville, MD 20905.
Thank you!
Norm
