Hi all -- Barry and I went up to Back River Sewage Treatment Plant today, just to check out the gull situation. Numbers of Bonaparte's Gulls seem to be building, we had about 1300 (500 on the river and 800 in the plant itself). This is a considerable increases over the past few weeks. While there weren't any Little Gulls or other goodies, the first week of April is a good time for them, according to our notes from previous years. So we will keep looking. (No luck on the White-fronted Goose, although there were about a dozen Canadas in Bread and Cheese Creek. We also saw a few Tree Swallows, a Forster's Tern and a few Snipe.) Cheers, Gail Mackiernan
