Hi Folks!

I agree with George Jett. Sandy Pt. has not been good for ducks recently.
However, there is a good stop on the way to Blackwater: the Choptank R.
Fishing Bridge at Cambridge. Oldsquaw, Surf Scoter, Common Goldeneye, Red-
breasted Merganser, and Bufflehead are the common species. I prefer going out
on the Talbot side.

Cambridge has an additional treat: the Canvasback flock at the end of Oakley
Street. Although mostly Canvasback, there are also American Wigeon, Redhead,
and Lesser Scaup. Best of all, if you take a bag of plain popcorn, you will
get stunning views. Heading S. on Rt.50, turn west [right] at the first light
south of the Choptank R. Bridge. Take this west, across a bridge and into
downtown. then bear right and find the street parallelling the
river....sorry..I don't know the name. You want to go about a dozen blocks
west then turn north on Oakley Street [deadends at the river].

Keep your eyes peeled for the "albino" Canvasback.

Goid Birding!
