northwesterly component increasing in velocity over the course of the day,

Raptor Observations:
Nice variety today. An adult male Merlin sped by and was gone in a flash.
Non-raptor Observations:
Northern Gannet 1; Bill Hubick found a Dunlin and a Common Yellowthroat.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
