Chuck Parker sent me a photo of an odd goldeneye. You can't see much detail from the photo because the bird is facing the camera. He's not certain of the ID but if anyone happens to be at Black Hills Regional Park, they might want to carefully scrutinize and goldeneyes they encounter. It would be awesome to have a BaGo record away from the Chesapeake region!

Thanks for the quick reply, not sure about the goldeneye, its head was a rich purple, more rounded than the other male near it, but the facial "spot" was between an oval and a crescent. I do not have much experience with Barrow's just wanted to pass on the possibility in case someone else gets a better view.
