Subject: [MDOSPREY] Leucistic Cormorant at Wilde Lake
Sent: Dec 22, 2011 3:10 PM
Got a call from a friend who said she saw a cormorant on Wilde Lake with
white on its head and neck. I said it's probably just leucistic, but she
had checked online and thinks that it could be a White-breasted Cormorant
... which lives in sub-Saharan Africa. ("Maybe it's an escapee!")
Anybody have time to go check out this "rare bird"?
Ken
