Dave Brenneman and I heard 6 different Virginia Rail in the mitigated wetland. At least three of them sounded so close to the trail that we expected them to walk up on it. At times we could hear individuals walking, but we never seen any. The 6 were heard from distinct locations with four of them being heard at one time.
