The morning began on a high note with a flyover of 18 tundra swans. I photographed a flock of rusty blackbirds and at least 6 mature red-headed woodpeckers in the tree line at the south side of the impoundments. The same stand of trees also had downy, red-bellied, piliated woodpeckers, and a male yellow-bellied sapsucker.
All warblers seen today were yellow-rumped.
A small group of American coots were on the water.
