I took a tour by some of the usual Potomac River / DC birding locations
today.

First stop was the Georgetown Reservoir, which had only American Crows and
14 Canada Geese.

Next was the pond at Constitution Gardens: Mallards and a pair of NORTHERN
SHOVELER.

The Tidal Basin held 3 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, along with the usual gulls,
cormorants, and 2 Pied Billed Grebes.

The service road at Hains Point did not fail to disappoint: 2 WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROWS among the other usual fare.

The Anacostia River off of Poplar Point also held about 500 Laughing Gulls.
Along with the other usual Ring-billed, Greater Black-backed and Herring
Gulls was a Lesser Black-backed Gull.

  Good Birding,
