Hi All,
This morning I took a walk up to the Prettyboy study area. On the way up to the fireroad along the street I heard many chickadees, Titmouse, a Pileated and an unknown hawk.
At the thinned area I heard and saw chickadees, titmouse, bluejays, WB nuthatch, a few warblers in the treetops. Due to the sky conditions I could not id them all but I am pretty sure one was the first fall female Black throated Blue Warbler that I have seen previous years.
The warbler I was able to see looked just like this photo # 71 taken another year at Prettyboy

At the clearcut area itself it was pretty quiet and birdless. I did hear a Pileated woodie, redbellied woodie, bluejays, crows and a Carolina Wren in the trees around the edges of the clear cut area. I did see two Goldfinches fly over the clear cut area.
We also took te pine tree loop trail, this was great I saw more warblers there. Here is a link to one of the pretty warblers I saw on the Pine tree loop trail.
