Keith Costley and I checked Liberty Lake for shorebirds yesterday. There
were a few north of the Route 140 bridge and more to the south. We also
checked Bollinger Mill Road which had a few more. Approximate numbers:
Great Egret  2
Bald Eagle  1 adult
Killdeer  10
Spotted Sandpiper  1
Solitary Sandpiper  8
Semipalmated Sandpiper  15
Least Sandpiper  70
Pectoral Sandpiper  1

We also stopped at Piney Run Park to check the upper end of the lake at
White Rock Road. The Tricolored Heron was still present with two Great
Egrets.

   I tried to get to the north side of Piney Run this morning to check the
lake for terns but Martz Road was completely blocked by a fallen tree limb.
