Bob, you are exactly correct. The subject dates are the correct dates and: 
"8/17 should be 8/16, and 8/18 should be 8/17."
Did not follow my own rule of "never post before proofing!"
Yes, it was a great sight just as dawn was breaking over the marsh.

   As always I look for anything unusual in a report. I noticed that the dates are correct in your subject line but not in the text. I assume that 8/17 should be 8/16, and 8/18 should be 8/17. Must have been a great sight to see all those herons passing by!
