Just an FYI I also had a Royal Tern scoped at Fort Armistead around 1300 (AA waters) while scoping the bay for an hour. I guess it is probably the same bird as at Swan Creek. I missed those Skimmers, that would have been great! The nice heron flight I'm used to up and down the bay was missing today, I'm not sure if maybe it is a dispersal issue.
I also photographed a Snowy Egret flying around Southwest Area Park in Baltimore County, which is a new eBird addition for the park. The bird never touched down, but it made several circles (almost like a tern).

Elaine,
I was there from 2:15 to 3:30 this afternoon and never left the dike, I have no idea how I missed you.
In addition to the skimmers, there were 4 Caspian Terns (at various times), 1 Royal Tern, 1 Short-billed Dowitcher and 1 near breeding plumaged Stilt Sandpiper.
