This morning (9 July, 2011) while enjoying coffee on the back porch I heard a 
Black-billed Cuckoo singing.  Later, down at my bucket I heard it again.  Also 
checked out Melwood Rd and found almost none of the good field birds from last 
week - only Grasshopper Sparrow and Willow Flycather.  I hope the dickcissels 
were just quiet and not gone.
