Hi Tracy,
Yeah, eBird.org can also be used to create a life list, list of birds seen in your back yard, and view bird population trends ranging from your town to any country in the world.
...but eBird data is only as good as the bird observations we birders submit! to submit birds you've seen, but click on "submit observations" on the homepage, and follow the directions.
