I hiked from the dam to the tunnel this morning taking the upper trail instead of the river. The Mountain Laurel is amazing!

A very nice assortment of breeding birds. I was pleased to hear 5 BLACK AND WHITE WARBLERS, 6 WORM-EATING.......the expected WOOD THRUSHES, SCARLET TANAGERS, YELLOW-THROATED VIREOS, ACADIAN FLYCATCHERS......nice and cool in the shady woods
