A Piping Plover paid a brief visit to Poplar Island on 18-19
April, 2011.  The bird was observed and photographed by Maryland
Environmental Services personnel Claire Ewing and Laura Baldwin.  This was
only the second record of this species on the island.  The first was a
two-day visit on 23-24 April 2007.
