Hi all    At about 7:30 this morning  I was standing in My Mother's Driveway  talking with my brother in the light misty rain  when a pair of Wood Ducks flew into the yard circled once  then landed on top of  My father's Barn/ Workshop Chimney  and sat there  for about 3 or 4 minutes  before moving on  never entering it however . While it would be  nice having nesting Wood Ducks in the yard  . That would not be a good choice of a spot .    Number one  on these chillly mornings  the wood  Stove attached is still being used . Number two it would be a  a good ways  for the chicks to have to lead by the parents to any water .  Plus I   do not know how the chicks would be able to climb out the  flue.
   Interesting Sighting anyway .
