Hi all,
 
Make a quick run over to DC's Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens and found a pair of RUSTY BLACKBIRDS in the flooded woodland just west of the ornamental pools, and then had a wonderful lifer AMERICAN BITTERN at the farthest observation deck on the board walk.
 
I'm still bumed about missing out on the Black Scoters, but a Bittern lifer is fine consolation prize!
