HI All:
 Well the Potomac is running much higher than it has been recently.  Most of the birds that had been concentrated below the dam have now moved back above the dams.  There were many redheads, ring=neck ducks, hundreds of coots, several common mergansers and lesser scaup above the dam.

  Red winged blackbirds were heard for the first time this year.  Eagle was seen sitting on nest.  Several great blue herons were seen standing on nests.
Two Red tailed hawks were displaying courtship behavior over the river too.
