HI All:
  Watched as a large flock of about 50 Great Blue Herons arrived at the heronry just upstream from Great Falls.  A few stood on nests for a couple of minutes and then the flock dispersed.  Never seen such a large group of  Great Blues before.  Isn't it early for them to be nesting? 

 One of the bald eagles was seen on the nest and a second was sitting in a tree nearby.

  Coots, ringnecked ducks and common mergansers are still present in large numbers.
