The very cooperative Harlequin duck seemed to be waiting for admirers
this morning. Jennifer Kawar and I arrived around 8:45 AM instantly
found him as he was going out with a few Ruddy ducks and Buffleheads
and turned around the rocky point. He returned 20 mins later and was
pointed to us by Elaine Hendricks. Not only is he not shy, he came
quite near us as I was taking photos! Several other birders including
Mike Welsh, Anna Urciolo, and others I did not know joined and
everyone seemed to have a chance to see him. When we left he was
visible but a bit further under the bridge. Wish they were all that
easy...
happy birding all,
Evelyn
