Today (1/17) I saw 9 Tree Sparrows at the Mount Pleasant Conservancy property in a mixed flock of sparrows. The flock was near the bridge over the stream behind the conference center, an area where Tree Sparrows have been seen earlier this winter. There were also 3 Field Sparrows and one Swamp Sparrow among the group. This spot is near number 8 on the Mount Pleasant map: http://howardbirds.org/birdinghowardcounty/MtPleasant/mount_pleasant_directions.htm
Along the entrance road to Woodmont Academy there was one adult White-crowned Sparrow with 3 Song Sparrows. The academy is off Frederick Road (Route 144), about 3/4 mile east of Route 97.
