Today while scoping for ducks on the White Pine Circuit at Loch Raven Reservoir, I noticed an eagle soaring overhead so I decided to get it in the scope. I was sure glad I did because
it was an immature Golden Eagle. I have a feeling that this is possibly the same bird that was hanging around Paper Mill Flats in mid-November, for it's markings are very similar. Also, in the eastern cove there was a goose of the Anser genus that I was uncertain of the ID. Most likely it was a Greylag Goose , but it could be some kind of hybrid, or a highly unlikely immature Greater White-fronted Goose. In the western cove of the trail there was a Cackling Goose with a large flock of Canada Geese. Below is the full report.
