The Golden-crowned Sparrow was present this Christmas morning in its accustomed location. We arrived at about 8, when we were told it had been seen under a pokeberry; but we had to wait until around 9 to see it ourselves. Don't be fooled by the many immature White-crowns, some of which magined to have hellowish in the forecrown. Look for the bird with the grayish bill and the plain sides to the face.
