Sorry for late post, but on Sunday mid-day a large flock of fox sparrows -- 10 or more-- was present in the weeds and brambles to the left of the footpath leading to the big pond, about 3/4 of the way from the where the path leaves the gravel road to the chain link fence. I have never seen so many fox sparrows in one place. Seems like there are a lot of them around this year. There were field sparrows nearby as well, and a magnificent Bald Eagle circling low and lazy overhead. Good Birding, David |
