Hi all,
 About 15 minutes ago I stepped outside my shop, bins around my neck, to stretch my legs and give the dog a walk around the yard. I looked up to see a high-flying (but well-lit, sun behind me) flock of approximately 40 Snow Geese heading south. The flock was a loose V- shape but kept moving in and out of the shape so it was hard to get an exact count. This is by far the largest inland (west of the Chesapeake) flock I have seen, and my first for the yard and only my second Carroll County sighting. Yard species #133!! The birds were heading into (or over) Howard County...
