Hello Maryland Birders,

In October 2009 Audubon Maryland-DC identified the Nanjemoy IBA in
Charles County after Bird Blitz surveys revealed significant
state-level populations of 6 at-risk bird species. The area also
supports a high diversity of forest interior birds. Not having
adequate data for Nanjemoy Northeast in 2009. The area was surveyed in
2010 to assess whether or not it should be included as part of the
Nanjemoy IBA. Follow the link below to read the results of this year’s
