Hi all,
This morning I woke up, dressed hurriedly and went up to Pine Lake hoping to see the Marsh Wren reported by Gail M. yesterday (many thanks! ). I hiked to the lake from the playground parking lot not knowing if it was still around. I carefully walked from the north side down the trail. In a batch of rushes were plenty of Common Yellowthroats. I phished once, and up popped the Marsh Wren, who chattered and went back into cover. I see why you and Barry like this place! Looked for, but didn't find a Red breasted Nuthatch.
Black throated Blue Warblers were in the mile-a-minute, and I got good looks at a Nashville Warbler. The Eastern Phoebes are so lovely.
Had an appointment, so I birded quickly, but I'm sure others saw more.
