Was planning to take a break from birding today to get chores
done, but the birds had other ideas. The trees outside my bedroom
window (which border Rock Creek Park) were bustling with activity
this morning despite the drizzle, including: YELLOW-BELLIED
FLYCATCHER (new yard bird), 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers (FOS),
probable Bay-breasted Warbler, 2 Scarlet Tanagers, 2 Northern
Parulas, 2 American Redstarts, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Red-eyed
Vireo, and an Eastern Wood-Pewee. Not bad considering the effort
expended. Migration obviously isn't over quite yet!
Good birding!
