I just received a call from Sean informing me that he had the crane there very recently as well, and he also was successful in taking a few photos. Nice find guys!

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Cecil County Sandhill Crane-Yes
The crane was present at Meadow Park off of Delaware Avenue in Elkton from 3PM
until 3:45PM this afternoon. He was still there when I left, foraging under
cover of the grove of big pine trees about three fourths of the way around the
park loop. As you enter the park, the trees are actually to your left, but the
loop is one way, so you have to drive right and keep going until you see the
trees on your left. It was raining off and on, but stopped for long enough for
me to get a few pictures. I'll post a link later. The bird is very mellow, not
prone to spook, if you move slowly and deliberately if you exit your car. Thanks
Pat and Sean for the tip.
