On the way to the Bay Sox 4th of July game this evening, we drove past a field with 8 cattle egret mingling closely with several head of cattle.  One egret even tried taking a ride on a cow - but it didn't succeed while we were observing.  The field is on Governor's Bridge Road, east of the Patuxent River.  If you are coming from Rt. 301, you would cross the one-lane bridge and continue east.  The field would then be on your right.
