Hi Bonnie,
It appears to be an ambush bug (one of many assassin bugs), family Reduviidae, subfamily Phymatinae. A photo of it appears on p. 117 in Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North America, lower right corner.

Of them he states; "sit motionless, on flowers, waiting to clutch other insects with their hooked front legs. Tiny and well camouflaged, they often take prey larger than themselves, including bees and large flies."

Nice photo!

Was able to spend a few hours at MPEA this morning. Very birdy! Had a pair of
ENTUCKY WARBLERS highly agitated...so I know I was close to a nest. LOUSIANA
ATERTHRUSH carrying food. VEERY singing along with the WOOD THRUSHES. An
MERICAN REDSTART and BLACKPOLL WARBLER moving through.
Found an interesting insect......if anyone recognizes it....
