I saw a Gray-cheeked Thrush in my back yard today at around 2:20 PM (05/16).
I first was alerted to its presence when I heard its song (and chip note).
I then was able to get good views; the bird was uniformly cold brown on the upper parts.
I cannot say that I am an expert in subspecies of Gray-cheeked Thrush; however, the plumage appears to point to the Catharusminimusaliciae subspecies.
Thanks to Paul O'Brien for pointing out the subspecies distinction in a recent post. Although I must confess, I have enough trouble keeping my species straight without getting into subspecies!!
Good Birding!
