This morning I lucked into a fun few minutes watching a pair of Prothonotary Warblers at Susquehanna State Park as they inspected a prospective nest cavity. The female only made a brief appearance while I was there, but the male stayed close to the cavity for quite a while. Trying to get clear pictures was incredibly frustrating, because the spot was completely covered by a heavy canopy of foliage and the birds were constantly moving. At one point the male landed closer than I could focus, so I had this amazing bird sitting four feet from me and I couldn't pull the trigger. Here's a link to a few of the photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27381338@N03/4589996166/in/photostream/
