Hi everyone,
I spent the last hour of daylight birding the marshes around Deal.
American Bittern -- three birds, one scoped in flight and two booming
Black-crowned Night-Heron -- two birds (surprisingly low number)
Many Virginia and Clapper Rails being very vocal
Short-eared Owl -- one bird, scoped hunting in the marsh
Seaside Sparrow -- six birds singing as soon as dusk fell.
