Warren Strobel, Chris Murray and I decided to go on a wild goose chase
today in Southern Anne Arundel. We came up empty on the Greater
White-fronted Goose recently reported by Jim Stasz. Matter of fact,
finding any decent numbers of Canada Goose proved to be a bit harder
today as well. We had a possible Great Cormorant on the fishing nets,
but the distance made the ID rather difficult.
On our travels from Annapolis, we noted several Road-Shoulder and
Red-tailed Hawks. Best raptor of the day: the Peregrine Falcon,
perched up on the light fixture on the South River Bridge (Rt 2).
