Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from October 13, 2009
This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot County, who
continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul Sarbanes
Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.
Some of the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from
Tilghman Island and back.
Note particularly the presence of four species that were new to the
property: Cooper's Hawk, House Wren, Gray Catbird and Eastern Towhee.
