In about two hours at Hughes Hollow/McKee Beshers this morning, I did not see the Cattle Egret that Jared Fisher found yesterday. I did, however, see a lovely female Rusty Blackbird near the parking lot. Other birds present between ~7:20 and 9:15 were two Palm Warblers (one Yellow, one Western), a young White-eyed Vireo, and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. About 10 Great Egrets foraged in the big impoundment along with a couple of Great Blue Herons.
Gail's Philadelphia Vireo was not present at Brookside Gardens, alas. Two fellow birders made up for its absence, as did a sprightly male Black-throated Blue Warbler and a Magnolia Warbler.
