This evening around 6pm Bill and Karen Harris and I checked out the fresh dirt field at the sod farm for buffies an golden plovers.? We located only 4 golden plovers among the killdeer, pecs, yellowlegs, and peeps.? No Buff-breasted Sandpipers.? Reading the reports it seems like people have more luck with Gold-plover numbers and Buffies during the morning/afternoon, and not in the evening.
