Returning home from a few meetings in the Crofton area, I have but two
quick sighting to report:
1.) On South Cecil Avenue, just East of Rt 3 in Crofton, there were 55
(conservative est.) CATTLE EGRETS in the field.
2.) On the wires within Crownsville State Hospital land, next to the
Anne Arundel County fairgrounds, there were swarms (350 is my
conservative estimate) of newly-arrived PURPLE MARTINS.
