This morning (6/7) I heard a Warbling Vireo singing from a grove of trees along Samuel Morse Drive at Gateway Business Park in Columbia. While searching for the vireo, I found a Cedar Waxwing sitting on a nest that was in the branches of a Black Locust tree on the east side of the road. There was also a young male Orchard Oriole. This location is south of Gateway Drive, where Samuel Morse Drive crosses a little stream and just before the road climbs a hill to more office buildings.
