In the fog and drizzle this morning, there were few migrants other than a couple of blackpolls, except for an Empidonax I'm fairly sure was a WILLOW FLYCATCHER.  The bird was not especially "visually cooperative" and I had only a few brief views that were not especially helpful other than to confirm it was a flycatcher and likely empid.  

It did call (but not sing) several times, however.  The call seemed a perfect match for Willow's "whit" call, as it appears at the end of the Stokes track for that species. It did not really match any Acadian, Least, Alder, or pewee vocalizations on the Stokes recordings.  

If anyone who has been interested enough to read this far knows of other flycatcher vocalizations that could call this ID into question, I'd be interested to know about it.  Despite their greater abundance in much of this area, Acadians seem to shun Ft. Bayard (until today, Least was the only empid I had in the park).
