Maybe a bit mundane given the recent Yellow Rail postings, but I was surprised to see a female Purple Finch at the feeder this evening.  Usually I don't have an overlap of Purple Finches with Hummingbirds which finally showed up last week.  Did awake to a lovely Swainson's Thrush this morning.
