Earlier today when Jeff Dietz and I found an Eastern Meadowlark at Druid
Ridge Cemetery I posted using my cell phone. The Meadowlark was foraging on
lawn on the North side of the Northern Parkway entrance. It called several
times using a dry rattle; but it did not sing. It did seem at all concerned
about the nearby traffic. It did alert us the soaring hawks by flattening
itself to the ground when they appeared.
