One lingering CASPIAN TERN plus FOS BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER
and PURPLE MARTIN were highlights. Combined with Friday's
totals, that's 60 species for this nice local spot.
Location: Oxbow Lake
Observation date: 4/12/09
Notes: Back to the lake, where Marcy showed us a nice
vantage point (but still no American Bittern). After she
left, another birder joined us for a while. Not as much
diversity as last visit (Friday), but plenty of new birds
that weren't seen then. Sunny, cool, breeze, sometimes cold
& windy. May have heard Eastern Phoebe.
