It was such a beautiful day yesterday I couldn't resist some birding. I stopped at Fisherman's Park and had my FOY BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERONS-2 adult sitting in trees on the big island. The BALD EAGLE population was down from a couple weeks ago, I had 4 and probably more in flight at a distance, and 4 - 2 juvenille and 2 adult perched on the rocks. I then drove to Lapidum and again lucked out at the rarer gulls but did have a beautiful CASPIAN TERN very content in fishing. Both places were packed with people which reminded me why I go birding very early on weekends!
