Hi Everyone,
On Saturday afternoon (4 April 2009), Tom Feild and I spent a couple hours scanning the gulls at Back River in Baltimore County. Plenty of Bonaparte's Gulls (ca. 700) were floating on the river behind the Royal Farms on Eastern Blvd (exit 38 from I-695) or standing on the mudflats by the I-695 bridge (viewed from Diamond Point Rd). There was almost surely a needle in that haystack, but we didn't find it. Maybe I'll try again on Sunday...
Birds that we did have included:
Blue-winged Teal--13
Red-breasted Merganser--22
Ruddy Duck--ca. 40
Caspian Tern--3
Tree Swallow--25
Barn Swallow--1
Have fun,
